One of the first weddings ever shot by Top Shelf Photo was at the Twin Oaks House & Gardens. Having grown up in the area, I was shocked that I had never heard of it!
The venue is a historic landmark estate is part of the Old San Marcos Schoolhouse dating back to 1891. The grounds are surrounded by sculpted gardens, fountains, and thousands of twinkle lights.
The lovely couple decided to get married on a Monday, which can often lead to a "low-key," early reception. Much to our delight, they kept the party rocking all night!
The beautiful bride decided to do "first looks" with her bridesmaids and parents and the reactions did not disappoint. Brooke decided to tease Tyler with a "first touch." He wasn't allowed to turn around, but they had a quiet moment together before the ceremony.
One of the many joys of photography is when there is an "ah-ha" moment. The tunnel of lights was a shot that I had struggled with in the past and everything just came together perfectly. A special thanks to Michelle, my second photographer, for some inspiration.
