This blog post is way overdue. Having grown up in the San Diego area, the Carlsbad Flower Fields was a yearly reminder that spring had arrived. This iconic location was the backdrop for Lindsey and Jason's wedding in 2016. I was particularly nervous for this wedding because the window of availability to photograph at the flower fields is very limited and I knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity. Thankfully, the stars aligned perfectly and I captured some of the most unique photos of my career.
With the happy couple opting for a first look, we were able to maximize our time for photos. Despite the weekend crowds and high winds, we were able to get some nice shots in the fields with the bridal party. After the ceremony, we were able to go back out into the flower fields, without the crowds and capture a few more shots with the sunset in the background. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal scene.
